Managing Sensors for Integrated Vitals

Default sensors for each vitals connection are set by your organization's administrators. However, in some cases you may have to change or add sensors during a case. This article demonstrates how to manage the sensors for integrated vitals.

Viewing Sensor Settings

To manage sensors, you first need to navigate to the sensor settings view.

  1. Tap on the vitals icon and tap "Connection Settings".

  2. Tap "Sensor Settings".
    1. If you haven't added any vitals connections, you'll see the following message:

  3. If you have added at least one vitals connection, the view will display the currently selected sensors, by category, for the current vitals connection.

    NOTE: If there is only one vitals connection in a category, it will not show the start time.

Changing a Sensor

The default sensors are set by your organization's administrators, and they are automatically used when the vitals connection is added to a form. If necessary, you can change the sensor for a given category.

  1. Swipe left for the sensor you want to change and tap the "Change sensor" button.

  2. Select the new sensor and tap "Update".

  3. The sensor settings will show the updated sensor.

Adding a Sensor

In some cases, you may need to add a new sensor in the middle of a case.

  1. Tap the "+" symbol in the upper right and tap the category for the sensor you want to add.

  2. Select the new sensor and tap "Add".

  3. The newly-selected sensor will be added to the form . The start time will default to the current time.

Editing Sensor Start Times

You can edit the start time for a sensor, as long as it is not the first sensor in a given category.

  1. Swipe left on the sensor and tap on "Edit start".

  2. Enter the new start time and tap "Update".

NOTE: If a sensor is the only one in its category, or if it's the last sensor in its category, its end time will be the end of the case. Otherwise, its end time is the start time for the next sensor.

Removing a Sensor

  1. Swipe left on the sensor you want to remove.

  2. Tap "Delete".

NOTE: You cannot delete a sensor if it is the only one in its category.
