When working in Graphium, you’ll often encounter long lists, such as providers or medications, inside forms. Instead of scrolling through dozens or even hundreds of options, you can use a couple of built-in tools to save time and find exactly what you need.
This article covers the same functionality shown in the short video tutorial below, and expands with additional examples.
Using Search to Find Providers
In the Pre-Op Evaluation, you may see a long list of providers. Scrolling through the entire list can be tedious, especially if you’re trying to get to names that begin with letters at the end of the alphabet.
Instead, simply type the first few letters of the provider’s name. For example:
-
Typing “Joh” instantly filters the list down to all providers with “Joh” in their name (e.g., John, Johnson, Johansen).
-
Typing just the first letter “S” will limit the list to all providers whose name starts with “S.”
This makes it much faster than scrolling through the entire directory.
Using Favorites and Search with Medications
Medication selection offers two ways to streamline navigation:
-
Favorites Tab – Save your most commonly used medications for one-click access.
-
Show All + Search – If you need something outside of your favorites, open the full list. Then just type the first few letters.
For example:
-
Typing “Lido” immediately filters down to Lidocaine, instead of scrolling through 200+ medications.
-
Typing “Met” will show Metoprolol, Metformin, and other relevant results to choose from.
Works Anywhere You See a List
This functionality isn’t limited to providers and medications. It applies to any searchable list in Graphium forms. Wherever you see a long list, you can:
-
Use the Favorites tab (if available) for quick access.
-
Or type the first letter(s) of what you’re looking for to instantly filter results.
Summary
You have two powerful tools to speed up list navigation in Graphium:
-
Favorites Tab – for your most frequent selections.
-
Search within the list – by typing the first few letters of the item.
Together, these features make it much quicker and easier to find what you’re looking for—without endless scrolling.
