Advanced Analytics Seats: Viewer vs. Admin, and How to Add One
What Viewer and Admin seats can do, who can add them, and how to manage your seat count.
Access to Advanced Analytics is granted per user, by seat. If you are an Organization Administrator, you can add and manage these seats yourself from the Graphium Dashboard. This article explains the two seat types, who can make changes, and how to add a seat to a user.
The two seat types
Advanced Analytics has two roles:
- Viewer (Advanced Analytics Viewer) - Can use stock scorecards and run and schedule reports. A Viewer cannot build or edit dashboards and reports.
- Admin / Designer (Advanced Analytics Administrator) - Can do everything a Viewer can, plus explore all of your anesthesia data and build and edit custom dashboards and reports.
Most users only need a Viewer seat. Choose Admin (Designer) only for the people who will actually build or modify reports.
Who can add or change seats
Only an Organization Administrator can add users and assign or change Advanced Analytics roles. If you are an Org Admin, you do not need to contact Graphium to make these changes. You can do it directly in the Dashboard.
Adding Advanced Analytics access to a new user
If the person does not have a Graphium account yet, you will create their account and assign their Advanced Analytics role in the same flow. Full step-by-step instructions are here:

When you reach Step 2 (User Roles and Facility Access), that is where you select the Advanced Analytics Viewer or Admin role along with facility access.
Adding Advanced Analytics access to an existing user
If the person already has a Graphium account, you can update their role rather than create a new account. As an Org Admin, go to Settings, then Users and Invitations, find the user, and edit their roles to add the Advanced Analytics Viewer or Admin role.

Managing your seat count
Each Advanced Analytics seat is billable. If you want to add a seat without increasing your total, you can review who currently has Advanced Analytics access and reassign seats among your users to keep the same number.
To see who currently has access at your organization, go to Settings, then Users and Invitations, in the Dashboard.
